MUSEE

A brand's name says a lot about its founder. The Korean Lee Ju Hyun chose to christen her label with a French term, signifying the place where great masterpieces are housed, a testimony of her love for beautiful things, as well as her days as a student in Paris. In the early 2000s, the young designer studied at the largest schools in the capital. She first attended the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture, graduating in 2002. She then attended Studio Berçot, where she studied from 2003 to 2006. On returning to Seoul, she enrolled at the University of Korea before gaining experience as a designer for several brands.
Her own label, Musée, was launched in August 2017. Renowned for its ability to mix classic concepts with innovative textiles and cuts, the brand quickly made a name for itself in Asia. Lee Ju Hyun develops her new concepts, inspired by construction and deconstruction processes that allow her to reinterpret the most popular daywear pieces. Like an artist who unveils their global vision through their work, Musée presents a minimalist, feminine and elegant style where men's trousers and jackets carry just as much weight as the most flowing dresses and skirts. After being spotted several times during Seoul Fashion Week, Lee Ju Hyun was also among the ten finalists of the 2019 Samsung Fashion Design Fund that supports young fashion talent.
