Created in 2008, the blog Daily Paper featured style, art and culture through the perspective of three friends: Jefferson Osei, Hussein Suleiman and Abderrahmane Trabsini. With Daily Paper, the founders, whose families are from Ghana, Somalia and Morocco respectively, aimed to pay homage to their common continent by bringing it visibility in various cultural contexts. 2012 marked a turning point for the adventure, when the blog became a clothing company, based in Amsterdam, and launched its first refined line, with just 5 t-shirts. The launch of the brand represented for its designers the opportunity to explore their African roots, seeking out talented artists and athletes and making them known, in particular through symbolic visuals and graphics punctuating their collections. Urban and very much streetwear-oriented, marked by African influences as well as those of 90s and Y2K style, Daily Paper saw growing success year after year. Whether super simple or sophisticated, the brand's often androgynous or unisex pieces always have an irresistibly casual nature, embodying the attitude of their muses: young people who aren't afraid of anything. Now cult, the brand's shield logo translates the tenacity of youth, which Daily Paper helps to represent and echo. More and more, brands like Puma and Denham contribute to the brand's plural, atypical creativity with sought-out collaborations. Cosy, stylish outerwear, graffitied jeans and also sportswear-accented dresses await.
