Okan Studio Women

It was a trip to Japan that infused Margaux Gripon with the inspiration and the courage to start her brand in 2018 — on her own. She quit her job at a major cosmetics company and founded ŌKAN STUDIO. ŌKAN is the transcription of the word for "crown" in Japanese. The circle, an eternal and universal shape, is infinitely duplicated in her jewellery, which Margaux refers to as "wearable sculptures". Designed to blend with whoever wears them, the pieces symbolize self-confidence, strength and pride. Designed in 3D by the designer, resin prototypes are brought to life in a studio based in Portugal with the prestigious RJC (Responsible Jewellery Council) label, a gage of ethics and transparency when it comes to working conditions, environmental impact and sourcing. ŌKAN STUDIO pieces, pure but powerful, are dressed in solid silver, sometimes raw, sometimes darkened with rhodium plating or brightened by a thick 18-karat gold plating. Worn on their own or in architectural compositions, the beautiful earring, bracelets, necklaces and rings of ŌKAN STUDIO radiate beauty and spiritual light, both inside and out.
