The world's oldest candle manufacturer, Cire Trudon, is a Parisian company with a prestigious history. Having previously illuminated the Court of Versailles and the capital's largest cathedrals, the label is today a favourite brand in every home. The iconic Cire candle will infuse your home with its beeswax absolute fragrance and comes in an elegant amber glass jar, inspired by the shape of a champagne bucket and adorned with the signature golden coat of arms.

The Cire scented candle is an olfactory illustration from the Trudon manufacture: evoking a blend of perfume scents and warm waxes, its reach is symbolic. At the crossroads between ancient craftsmanship, strong commitment, and a contemporary vision, the Cire scented candle reveals a particular fragrance behind its slightly speckled amber glass: that of beeswax absolute. Bees and beeswax are, by definition, at the heart of the Trudon manufacture's history: since the 17th century, it has adopted the motto "Deo regique laborant," which means "they (the bees) work for God and the King." In 2019, the Maison chose to support the Conservatoire de l'Abeille Noire de l'Orne, in partnership with the Parc National Régional du Perche. 4% of the sales of each Cire candle will be donated to the Conservatoire de l'Abeille Noire de l'Orne.

To fully appreciate your candle, we recommend burning it until the entire surface has turned to liquid. Do not burn your candle for more than 2 hours at a time for the first third of the candle and 1 hour at a time for the remainder. Never leave a candle burning unattended. Place your candle away from drafts. Keep candles away from children, curtains and pets. If the wick is misaligned, gently re-centre it while the wax is still melted. If it starts to smoke, cut off the end of the wick. It should always be clean and no longer than 0.5 cm (0.2 in). Protect the surface where you place your candle (preferably with a flat ceramic or wooden object). To protect the glass, do not burn your candle to the end, always leave at least 0.5 cm (0.2 in) of unmelted wax. Store your candle in a cool and dry place, between 15 and 25°C. Make sure you use your candle within 2 months of receiving it.
