The shavette, also known as a barber razor, allows for a very precise and efficient shave. It is very hygienic as its blade is regularly changed. This razor model uses double-edged safety blades that need to be broken in half before use, to be done in their packaging. To replace the blade, push the movable part forward so it opens downwards, then slide the blade against the stops, and finally close it while pressing on the flat of the blade. Do not hold by the cutting edge. It is preferable to use a safety blade that you have broken yourself instead of a pre-cut blade. Breaking a blade yourself creates a roughness that acts as a spring effect and allows for a better grip of the blade in the shavette.
