Since ancient times, a shepherd stood guard at the foot of a magnificent cedar tree whose top almost touched the sky. In love with the young Leïlé, he agreed to reveal to her his secret: the cedar tree with its enchanting aroma was none other than the legendary "tree of youth." His dedication to the tree had prevented him from aging while he waited for his true love. Since that day, it is said that lovers protect the cedar tree that brought them together.
