Silk shirts, slogan t-shirts, leopard print skirts and floral sweatshirts: the Danish brand Ganni brings us pieces that perfectly embody the new era of Scandinavian style, laden with character and unexpected detailing. Designed as everyday wear to suit everyone, Ganni plays with vintage-inspired dresses and simple knitwear designs to mix and match throughout the seasons. Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup and her husband, Nicolaj Reffstrup, have been at the Ganni helm since 2009. They take their inspiration from the relaxed lifestyle of residents in their hometown of Copenhagen, to create an effortless dress code with clean lines and unstructured cuts. Keen to celebrate individuality rather than pushing the latest trends, the duo is also inspired by the people who wear their designs, #Gannigirls, creating fashion that better expresses women's aspirations. Committed to sustainable development since its creation, the Danish label strives to take a holistic approach and pays careful attention to the materials selected for its collections, the production sites they use and their overall impact on the environment. The brand aims to achieve a 30% reduction in its CO2 emissions by 2030 and to be completely carbon-free by 2050.
The Ganni Spring-Summer 2020 collection marks a turning point for the Reffstrups, who, are celebrating their 10-year anniversary with the label this year. For the occasion, the brand is blurring masculine and feminine boundaries with silk suits, men's tailored trousers, exotic prints and bold cuts, to form a collection with an assertive attitude and plenty of personality. The new collection is also injected with '70s, '80s and' 90s references including loose-fit denim pieces, puff sleeves and crystal buttons. And - not to be forgotten - a revamped edit of one of the brand's most iconic pieces: the print wrap dress, to wear day and night, whatever the occasion! > View more
