Estée Lauder Beauty

Through cosmetic innovation and technical mastery, the American brand Estée Lauder has been revolutionising skincare for over fifty years. Its founder grew up in New York in the early 20th century. Fascinated by her mother's beauty rituals and initiated into the art of composition by her chemist uncle, Estée Lauder was very young when she found her love for cosmetics. In 1946, Estée Lauder launched her own brand with a lotion, a cream and a facial cleanser, which she promoted in New York, directly with clients and at beauty salons. She soon found a place for her products at Saks Fifth Avenue, and boosted her launch by offering gifts with purchases. This was a revolution which was soon copied around the world, and still exists today, in the form of samples. In 1953, her eponymous line became famous with the launch of her first perfume and its accompanying campaign. In 1956, Estée invented the "Premium" category of creams. The formula of her first Re-Nutriv cream was so innovative that it remains in a safe. The success of Estée Lauder reached its peak and she even opened her own lab a few years later. This centre for research and development enabled the 1982 creation of the essential Advanced Night Repair formulated with hyaluronic acid. Today, despite the loss of its founder in 2003, the brand Estée Lauder remains one of the global pillars of skincare, perfume and makeup through constant innovation and evolution.
