Few brands can boast such a prolific start as Nodaleto. Unveiled in February 2019, just in time for the Autumn-Winter 2019 Fashion Week, this shoe label immediately caught the eye of the most discerning fashion fans. The reason? A unique and retro aesthetic, tinged with Nineties minimalism and Seventies retro. Led by Julia Toledano (whose name read backwards forms the surname Nodaleto), former journalist in charge of creation, and Olivier Leone, head of visual identity, the brand made a notable entrance into the world of women's footwear. Its fatal weapon: an extraordinary heel, whose architectural and studied design provides both style and comfort. Its color code: a vibrant tangerine, a tribute to the founder's Moroccan roots. Its masterpiece: the Babies, these shoes for well-behaved young girls, which the duo skillfully revisits by twisting them with the aforementioned heel and clever proportions, to make them a new rebellious-cool classic. But Nodaleto is above all a philosophy. Julia Toledano's desire to create feminine and chic shoes that are never stuffy, which can be worn from morning to night and night to morning without ever becoming uncomfortable. Versatile shoes too, capable of adapting to everyone's wardrobe, whether it's sophisticated or more outgoing. But it is also and above all a journey into the past, from the 1970s with boots inspired by those worn by flight attendants for Panam Airlines, to the 1990s and their share of pop culture stars. We can mention the Geller mules, a tribute to Monica from Friends, the Banks, a nod to Hilary from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, or the Jones sling-backs, dedicated to Samantha from Sex and the City. In short: a clever and feminine concentration of the zeitgeist.
