Burberry Coats

Burberry now counts itself as one of the most legendary haute-couture houses and has been marking the history of fashion with its designs. In 1856, Thomas Burberry - who was only 21 at the time - founded the brand. A few years later, in 1879, he invented gabardine. This ultra-durable, waterproof fabric would then be used by the house to tailor its famed trench coats, also worn by British army soldiers during both world wars.
Among the famous codes of the English brand, the emblematic horseman soaring under the Prorsum banner and, of course, the iconic red and black Check motif. Since he took the reins of Burberry's Artistic Direction in 2018, Riccardo Tisci has been rethinking the British brand's classics. He brings together modernity and tradition by adding his own subtle touch of freshness and creativity.

Women's Trench Coat by Burberry

Starting out as a military uniform, Burberry's famous trench coat owes the notoriety it enjoys today to the silver screen, as well as celebrities and artists, such as Gene Kelly in Singing in the rain or Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's. An absolute Burberry staple, the trench coat with a tartan lining is forever being revamped. It now comes in recycled polyester, featuring the cult Check motif and a timeless Kensington Trench Coat cut.
In the spirit of the brand's popular 1920s models, the couturier also brought back the Beige Gabardine Trench Coat, with a Vintage Check lining. Riccardo Tisci created the buzz with his black and beige Bicolor Trench Coat as well, accentuated by signature straps and double button fastenings.
Last but not least, adopting a widely different style, the designer introduced an all-black nylon trench coat accented with highly visible white topstitches.

Women's Parka by Burberry

To the English fashion house, coats are statement pieces. For the 2020 Autumn-Winter collection, the brand's woolen parka became a global sensation. This Burberry's winter coat for women is cut straight, with a snap-fastened hood and elevated by a logo on the left sleeve.
