RED VALENTINO

It's impossible to speak of Italian chic without thinking of Valentino Clemente Ludovico Garavani, the designer who marked the course of fashion history with his eponymous label. The three letters also stand for "Romantic Eccentric Dress," evoking the brand's modern aesthetic and connecting with a younger audience. As acting Creative Director since the collection's launch, Pierpaolo Piccioli stands at the helm of this elegant and romantic line. After studying at Rome's European Institute of Design, he began his career at Fendi before taking over as Creative Director for Valentino's accessories line in 2008, alongside Maria Grazia Chiuri. With RED Valentino, he continues to create pieces that are no less than veritable works of art. Inspired by different cultures, the digital world, and his love of travel, he designs soft, feminine pieces that evoke past and present simultaneously. Featuring embroidery, flounces, satin stitching, and creative knots, the dresses, blouses, and skirts here are positively whimsical. It's a signature style that's well-loved by a host of celebrities, including Jennifer Garner, Naomi Watts, Halle Berry, and Cate Blanchett.
