Family-oriented and deeply rooted in trend, the house of Santoni has managed to make city shoes as chic as they are stylish. It all began in 1975 in Italy, when Andrea Santoni, the son of a farmer turned shoemaker, and his wife Rosa imagined and designed shoes for men that were as beautiful as they were comfortable. Initially, the small company exclusively manufactured and sold its shoes in its own workshops. Andrea Santoni gradually expanded the brand into the women's realm and captivated luxury accessory aficionados. Today, the Santoni label is a reference in the field and stands out for its impeccable design, authentic artisanal craftsmanship, and its masculine and feminine lines that are as versatile as they are architectural. Now under the artistic direction of Edmundo Castillo, each piece is a unique creation. The Puerto Rican designer combines his knowledge of style and architecture gained during his studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology and at the Parsons School of Design in New York to imagine artistic shoes and bring a touch of madness that characterizes him. The women's Santoni shoes aim to be glamorous and retro, with curves studied and adapted to ensure comfort under all circumstances. For men, loafers, derbies, and other sneakers are distinguished by their pointed toes and urban look. A particularity of Santoni is that a large part of the production is handmade. The brand also created a school in 2005 where artisans pass on their assembly techniques as well as the leather dyeing process to apprentices. A concept that is close to Andrea Santoni's heart, who remains very involved in his company. The patriarch constantly checks the quality of the shoes at the factory exit.
