MAISON SAMBIN

Maison Sambin, niche perfumery, is rooted in the fascinating story of Eustache Sambin's arrival to Guadeloupe. Originally from Burkina Faso, his immigration marked the beginning of a rich cultural heritage, highlighting and transmitting the importance of his Caribbean and African origins. In 1980, the story of the Sambin family took a major turn, deciding to move to Paris. It was there that Erold Sambin, born to a French father and Guadeloupean mother, emerged as an emblematic figure of this singular lineage. A former rugby player and model for renowned brands, he nurtured a strong interest in perfume. In 2018, he concretised his passion, launching Maison Sambin, a brand dedicated to the olfactive arts. The brand's first collection, produced in close collaboration with the master perfumers of Grasse, reflects the founder's deep commitment to the history of the African diaspora. It includes three unisex fragrances, each a meticulous representation of a divinity of the Yoruba people of Nigeria and Benin. Made with carefully selected ingredients, the Osa, Oya and Shango eaux-de-parfum offer distinctive olfactive experiences, transporting those who wear them along a rich, nuanced sensory journey. Overall, Maison Sambin is much for than a perfumery; it is a powerful symbol at the intersection of history, culture and art.
