Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s OUD Eau de Parfum is built around the most precious of ingredients, an oud wood from Laos, dreamed up on the outskirts of a palace of marble and chiselled gold, drowned in a midnight blue sky studded with stars. Atlas cedar and patchouli from Indonesia lead a sensual conversation with it on the skin. Saffron and elemi bring sparks of light, a golden presence that fuses in the background. At once oriental and western, masculine and feminine, the OUD eau de parfum is a pure mystery, a bewitching, narcotic, magnificent spicy amber fragrance.
