After ten years as a buyer for ready-to-wear group Bestseller, Sehested went solo and created Gestuz. The new label immediately won praise from its Scandinavian clients, ever in-the-know, for its chic but easygoing style. This success is due in part to the fact that Sanne Sehested originally went about imagining a collection that she would wear herself -- tailored blazers, fun dresses, and perfectly-cut jeans. Indeed, the Gestuz woman always has a host of different events to dress for -- she's modern, a citizen of the world, and full of energy. Confident, intelligent, and playful, she doesn't hesitate to mix pieces according to her mood. The Gestuz woman looks after the environment just like the label does, having promised to reduce its environmental impact and respect the industry standard in sustainability practices. Gestuz garments are made using 65% eco-responsible materials, from recycled polyester to organic cotton and ethnical leather. Here, we find less is more -- especially with a Nordic accent.
