The lip care balm embodies a certain idea of Hermès Beauty, that of a natural look enhanced by daily, protective, and soothing care.
The Rouge Hermès balm nourishes and smooths the lips and their contours. It leaves a protective veil with a subtle and natural finish.
As a preliminary step to lip makeup, it can be used alone or to prepare the lips for the application of a Rouge Hermès lipstick.
THE TEXTURE
Fine and melting, the texture of the lip care balm provides a lasting feeling of comfort. Its semi-matte finish, almost invisible, is suitable for both women and men.
THE EFFECTIVENESS OF CARE
The balm leaves a soothing protective film on the lips that softens, smooths, and enhances the lips throughout the day. Its effectiveness is instant and long-lasting: the lips stay hydrated for up to 8 hours* after application. Over time, lip dryness is reduced by 51%**. Their suppleness increases (+44%**), as well as their comfort (+42%**). They appear protected from external aggressions (cold, wind, air conditioning).
THE FORMULATION
The lip balm is composed of 95% natural origin ingredients and is formulated with rigorously selected active ingredients.
The hyaluronic acid complex and white mulberry moisturize, soothe, and provide comfort to the lips, sesame seed extract smoothens them, and ceramides protect them from external aggressions and dehydration, while strengthening the skin barrier.
Imagined by Christine Nagel, Hermès perfumer, its delicate fragrance combines the softness of arnica, the woody character of sandalwood, and the herbal notes of candied angelica flowers.
THE OBJECT
Designed by Pierre Hardy, creator of Hermès Beauty objects, the lacquered, polished, and brushed metal object is protected by a canvas pouch, slipped into a small orange box. Its design juxtaposes the contemporary spirit of the House and its history, expressed by the Ex-Libris.
THE ETHICS
The Rouge Hermès lip balm object is refillable. Only the stick is ephemeral. Refills are sold separately.
THE GESTURE
The Rouge Hermès lip balm can be applied as the first step in a lip makeup ritual to smooth and hydrate the lips, or as a touch-up during the day to maintain lip comfort and softness.
