It’s Christmas at Printemps! The famous Parisian department store, located on Boulevard Haussmann in Paris’s 9th arrondissement, will soon unveil its new enchanting Christmas windows for the festive season. This year, the softness of wool takes center stage! Under the theme “A Perfectly Knitted Christmas”, balls of wool, giant knitting needles, animated cats and mice intertwine to weave a warm and welcoming world.

What is the theme of the 2026 Christmas window displays at Printemps Haussmann?

This year, mischievous cats and playful little mice take visitors on a whimsical adventure.

As they make their way past the windows, the story unfolds in the different rooms of a house getting ready for the festive season.

Amid cosy settings, crochet creations and animated scenes, each display reveals new details, culminating in a majestic Christmas tree made entirely from knitted fabric. A charming stroll that brings back memories of childhood Christmases.

What expertise lies behind Printemps' Christmas window displays?

This display pays tribute to craftsmanship and textile artistry. Created in France by passionate textile artists, the decorations combine knitting, crochet and embroidery in meticulous work.

The costumes and accessories were created by Valérie Cuter, Printemps’ long-standing seamstress, while Sylvain Ducloux, a puppeteer from a family spanning three generations, brings the characters to life. A meeting of traditional expertise and contemporary creativity, brought together in a poetic display.

Among the scenes, the display dedicated to the dining room stands out for its collaboration with Atelier Montex, the prestigious embroidery house belonging to the Maisons d’art gathered at 19M. A meeting of exceptional craftsmanship and imagination, giving this edition a truly distinctive dimension.
