Colourful prints, floral motifs, embroidered detailing, the Argentine designer, Carolina Kleinman was inspired by India and Latin America, regions she visited before launching her eponymous brand in 2004. It was evident that this designer followed a path into fashion, as Carolina Kleinman grew up in a family whose work revolved around textiles. Her grandfather sold trimmings from Buenos Aires to La Paz while her mother and aunt owned a clothing store. After training in Fashion Design, Carolina Kleinman headed to Los Angeles where she studied two of her other passions, acting and music. Fashion kickstarted her career. Today, based in Miami, the brand presents the perfect gypset wardrobe, appealing to free spirits such as Alexa Chung, Beyoncé and Diane Kruger. Passionate about the traditions of times gone by and cultures of indigenous peoples, Carolina Kleinman draws on the richness of remote regions in Mexico and Peru to produce her unique prints. In order to preserve the ancestral traditions of these countries, Carolina K pieces are made by local artisans, using techniques passed down from generation to generation. As sustainable fashion, it invites the consumer to slow down and take their time to study the detailing of dresses and swimwear, becoming truly timeless works of art. The label's bohemian chic style once again, permeates the Spring-Summer 2020 collection. Xim and Valerie kaftans are adorned with retro yellow and blue flowers while the Nina bikini top with a knotted blouse style can be worn both for the beach and around town, perhaps paired with a long skirt. This season's favourite? The Barbarella dress in vivid shades with patchwork motifs, celebrating a femininity that's alive and kicking.> View more
