Everything starts at sea. In 1910, after the tragic loss of several close fishermen, due in particular to unsuitable clothing in cold or humid weather, Julius and Hanna Didrikson committed to protecting this action profession, no matter the cost. In 1913, the couple launched their ready-to-wear brand, Didriksons, as well as their production factory, Didriksons Regnklädesfabrik, on their native land in Grundsund, a town located on the west coast of Sweden. From the very beginning, Julius and Hanna conducted several tests by soaking their pieces in different oils to achieve the highly sought-after waterproof quality. Over the years, they achieved excellence: functional clothing against humidity, wind, and cold. Didriksons allows you to stay dry, in absolute comfort all day long, even for extended periods. Parkas, down jackets, coats, jackets, trench coats, and vests, each jacket is designed to be useful, modern, hybrid, and for the whole family. Indeed, the Swedish brand offers collections for men, women, and children. And in addition to their commitment at sea, Julius and Hanna Didrikson promise a brand rooted in the land, with ecological and environmental awareness. The products, designed without toxic substances, feature a recyclable and durable stretch fabric, Sorona, as well as vegan fiber bases for warm jackets. At Didriksons, the coats are divided into three temperature categories: extra-warm with reinforced padding to combat the cold for hours, like the Nomi, Fay, or Stella models; padded for Autumn-Winter like the Jennie, Erika, or Frida models; and finally, unpadded windbreakers, lighter, like the Widana, Ilma, or Edith models. Each jacket meets the daily needs of the person wearing it, which the brand has decided to categorize into three lifestyles: Business, Freedom, and Explore. The products and materials of Didriksons are chosen at the brand's headquarters in the city of Borås in Sweden, and then the imagination takes shape in workshops across Europe. The Scandinavian brand also aims to be inclusive, offering a size range from 32 to 52, and favors a palette of natural colors, such as beige, brown, khaki, and taupe. In 2023, the label celebrates its 110th anniversary, a beautiful story that continues to be part of the landscape of Swedish fashion and internationally!
