From grandfather to grandson, the Rautureau family have been shoemakers for generations. Following his fame in the 19th century, shoemaker Jean-Baptiste Rautureau passed on his passion to his grandsons: Yvon and Guy. In 2011, paying homage to their family tradition, the French brother founded their own shoe brand: Schmoove. The main idea? To deconstruct the tenacious stereotypes that had been created in men's fashion: on the one hand, the gentleman, and in the other, the virile athlete. The Rautureau brothers aimed to offer a range of shows mixing sporty and chic. It was a successful mission for Yvon and Guy who have been making a splash for over twenty years with their brand Schmoove, a symbol of sporty masculine elegance for any occasion. To preserve their family know-how, the designers rely on leather shoes that are durable and comfortable, perfect for all occasions and genders. In 2013, Schmoove evolved and launched a line for women. For all of its collection, in order to offer its clients long-lasting shoes, the brand works with Portuguese leather craftsman and cobblers. Creativity, avant-gardism and durability are the French brand's keywords. And with time, the brand has built enough fame to reach the feet of celebrities like professional Franco-Portuguese dancer Chris Marques. Across the seasons, with its men's and women's collections Yvon and Guy reinvent iconic shoes: Winston sneakers, Dock brogues, Denia loafers, and timeless Chelsea boots. For all tastes, styles and genders, for unique and unusual looks, for city or country, day or night, Schmoove's imagination is infinite.
