He drew his inspiration from evoking a scent, both wonderful and full of sensitivity: 'The inside of a Hermès bag, where the fragrance of a perfume floated... A note of fine leather, wrapped in fresh fragrances of citrus scents and spices,' the perfume maker commented at the time. Le premier parfum d'Hermès.Une eau puissante et sensuelle, riche en agrumes et relevée d'épices.Imaginé en 1951 par Edmond Roudnitska autour d'un thème hespéridé épicé floral, Eau d'Hermès est le premier parfum de la maison. Il puise son inspiration dans l'évocation d'une odeur merveilleuse et pleine de sensibilité : « L'intérieur d'un sac Hermès où flottait l'arôme d'un parfum... Une note de fine peausserie enrobée de frais effluves d'agrumes et relevée d'épices », commentait alors le compositeur. Un roman historique inspiré par la tradition et la culture de la maison qui s'adresse aux hommes comme aux femmes. Une écriture puissante, sensuelle.
