THE CREATION
Hermessence Iris Ukiyoé is inspired by a Japanese artistic movement, ukiyoé. "As a collector of prints, I had in mind the irises of Hokusai or Hiroshige. I wanted to challenge the classic approach to iris by associating it with flowers with lesser-known scents." Jean-Claude Ellena, perfumer.
OLFACTORY NOTES
Floral and luminous, Iris Ukiyoé offers an interpretation of the powdery scents of the iris flower and the delicacy of the rose.
An Hermessence suitable for both men and women.
THE OBJECT
The bottle of Iris Ukiyoé is highlighted by a vibrant iris purple lacquer on the glass, which is recognizable on the leather cap.
THE HERMÈS DETAIL
The iconic "lantern" bottle of the house embodies a unique and timeless imprint. Its leather cap signed with the saddle stitch is topped with an engraving of the Hermès saddle nail.
