Unlike many brands that promote extravagant fashion, the Japanese label, Enföld, explores a concept that puts forward the notion of 'hidden beauty'. The principle: offer garments with minimalist elegance that dazzle as much as they enhance the style of those who wear them. Practical yet elegant, Enfold garments offer a unique and original aesthetic. Founded by Mizuki Ueda in 2012, this brand is not the designer's first adventure. She initially started out as a salesperson for the Moussy brand before being promoted to the ranks of Director of Design, having already proven herself, launching several labels. The first brand was Sly, then followed by Baroque (a brand where she is still Creative Director).
Advocating a concept made up of sophisticated basics, the designer creates pieces cut from luxury fabrics (all from Japan) that are carefully considered to best enhance her clientele's silhouette and style. Taken from the English word meaning 'embrace', the label's name highlights this desire to offer both practical and easy-to-wear fashion that's always refined. Shirts are adorned with asymmetrical draping, coat panels are constructed, deconstructed and reconstructed, producing original volumes while dresses feature puffed sleeves to create a girly yet definitively stylish look... but that's not all. Its concept is to provide women a way of dressing that brings them happiness, creating a desire to express themselves through the joy of "hidden beauty", sought after by the designer. Since opening to global distribution in 2014, the brand has already made its mark and is slowly but surely establishing itself as a new player in basics offering a classic twist.> View more
