Who'd have thought that Instagram would be the place to find the newest generation of comedians? Taking to the digital world's center stage to break old rules, Printemps.com presents three talents to follow.

Lison Daniel, the most well-read

Depicting the times in all their weirdness is comedian and writer Lison Daniel's calling card, thanks to her Instagram account entitled "Les Caractères." Jean de La Bruyère, the French moralist, has found an heiress in this young creative and her videos, in which she imitates different fictional characters, each funnier and more zany than the last. Mastering the art of the vignette and imitation 2.0, Lison Daniel introduces us to Isabelle, the Parisian bougie, and Gaëtan, the overzealous drama teacher — all thanks to Instagram filters that allow her to incarnate different characters. Daniel's love of 19th century literature has her creating scintillating portraits of contemporary life.

Anaïde Rozam, the most bankable

Followed by stars such as Leïla Bekhti and Pierre Niney, Anaïde Rozam is one of 2020's comedic revelations. Funny and occasionally scathing, she uses her Instagram account to post sketches that take a sharper look at day-to-day life. Indeed, her skits went viral in no time, and today the young creative has over 450,000 followers. Even Canal+ got the tip, and today you can find her on the silver screen each Sunday in the show "Clique." Here, Anaïde becomes Clothilde, a young director short on experience but with an excess of ideas. "I think that to make big films, you need to read big books," she says confidently, with an enormous tome in one hand.

Laura Felpin, the most eccentric

Formerly weather-woman on TMC's daily show Quotidien, Laura Felpin is one of French comedy's rising stars. Having gotten her start on YouTube, the young comedian gets a kick out of fully incarnating her characters from head to toe — a bitter, bored grandmother, a dictatorial school principal, and a smart-talking housewife — with pointed realism and a good helping of derision. An actress first and foremost, Laura Felpin is currently preparing a piece with her long-time companion and co-author, Cédric Salaün, all while pursuing her career in cinema. Felpin is one to watch, on screens large and small.
