Created in 2008, the Daily Paper blog provided insights on fashion, art, and culture from the perspectives of three friends: Jefferson Osei, Hussein Suleiman, and Abderrahmane Trabsini. With Daily Paper, the founders - whose families are respectively from Ghana, Somalia, and Morocco - aimed to pay tribute to this common continent by contributing to its visibility in various cultural fields. The year 2012 marked a turning point for the adventure as Daily Paper then became a clothing label, based in Amsterdam and launched with a first minimalist line consisting of five t-shirts. The brand's launch represented an opportunity for its creators to explore these African roots more deeply by meeting artistic or athletic talents and making them known, particularly through visuals and symbolic graphics punctuating their collections. Urban and even distinctly streetwear, marked by African influences as well as references from the 1990s and 2000s, these collections have experienced growing success year after year. Whether they are ultra-simple or sophisticated, the often androgynous, sometimes unisex pieces signed Daily Paper are always imbued with an irresistible nonchalance, embodying those who are the source of inspiration: young people who fear nothing. The cult status of Daily Paper's shield logo precisely reflects the tenacity of this youth that Daily Paper helps to represent and make heard. Increasingly, the diverse and atypical creativity of the label is in high demand, benefiting brands like Puma and Denham through successful collaborations. Cozy and stylish tracksuits, graffiti jeans, and sportswear-accented dresses are just waiting for you.
