SAISON 1865: THE NEW PRINTEMPS BRAND

Printemps never stops reinventing itself and has chosen to honour our wardrobe's most iconic pieces with the launch of its new brand, Saison 1865.  

A nod to the year in which the legendary Printemps was founded, Saison 1865 tells a tale of fashion that's as breath-taking as a TV series. Each collection is like a full season and each of its episodes highlights iconic pieces. On deck? Sharp colours, bold colours and refined allure. 

Saison 1865 is a committed brand. The designs are made from noble or recycled materials like GOTS-certified cotton, or Lyocell knits which bear the label “Unis vers le beau responsable".

On the production side, most of the collection is made in Europe, promoting local know-how and artisanry. Men's leather goods are 100% made in France.  

To demonstrate its commitment to people and the planet, Printemps will donate 1% in sales of this new brand to an organisation supporting youth empowerment. 

For women, for men, for all ages. Saison 1865 is a profoundly inclusive label. There's something for everyone among the collection's boldly updated essentials: refined pieces with unique silhouettes.  

And just like with any good TV series, there are plenty of twists. For this first season, the brand's different “episodes” feature tailoring, trench coats and sexy knits. We're already impatient for what's next.  

Timeless, tailoring takes center stage in the first episode of Saison 1865. A combination of a jacket, trousers, and sometimes a waistcoat made from the same fabric, it’s also a more chic and concise way to refer to a suit. As autumn is in full swing and temperatures are dropping, the quilted fabric, neither too thick nor too thin, emerges as THE trend to bet on. Saison 1865 features this material, sitting between a puffer jacket and a blanket, at the heart of its episode 04. The quilted style comes in almost every shape: an sleeveless vest, a bolder short but also a removable hood collar, incredibly practical. One thing is for sure: the cold this winter won't affect you!

When the jacket is no longer enough, it's time to swap it for the coat. Classic, timeless, and a loyal companion for the coldest winter days, the coat is simply an essential piece.
