Founded in Milan in 2016, Naturae Sacra specializes in handbags made by hand in Turkey, the mother country of the label's founders, Gizem Pirinççiler and Kerem Erhan. Inspired by nature, sculpture, and interior design, the dynamic duo dreams up contemporary pieces characterized by their minimalist design, echoing the silhouettes of natural objects. Mindful of social and environmental causes, Naturae Sacra is dedicated to entrusting its designs to Turkish artisans who employ traditional tannery techniques and materials that are ethically-sourced. In accordance with this approach, each model is adorned with natural, plant-derived resin straps. It's an emblematic detail that sets these handbags apart and gives them a unique feel. Naturae Sacra means "mystical" in Latin, evoking the label's respect for and desire to protect the natural world. It's for this reason that the brand's products are unwaveringly eco-friendly and never use mass-production techniques.
