A distant stopover in Tahiti, on the island of Taha'a. A preserved place where mountains and reefs, plants and corals, converse in perfect harmony.
OLFACTORY NOTES
Floral and musky, the eau de toilette Un Jardin sous la Mer combines a sunny tiaré flower with the enveloping character of a tamanu nut and the evocative mineral notes of the coral reef.
THE OBJECT
Designed by Fred Rawyler, the iconic Hermès bottle is inspired by the lines of vintage car lanterns. Its blue gradient reflects the azure sky and the crystalline waters of the lagoon of Taha'a. On the case, the watercolor drawings by artist Aino-Maija Metsola capture this coral reef teeming with life and colors.
THE HERMÈS DETAIL
For each Perfume-Garden, the House invites an illustrator to poetically illustrate the case, giving them carte blanche to express this garden through drawing. "Drawing is everything at Hermès, and everything starts with drawing" Pierre-Alexis Dumas, artistic director of Hermès.
ETHICS
The 100 ml, 50 ml, or 30 ml Un Jardin sous la Mer bottles can be refilled with the 200 ml refill, sold separately.
