The Dyson Airstrait™ allows straightening with a precise directional airflow, without heating plates or extreme heat. This is generated by the Dyson Hyperdymium™ motor that can reach up to 106,000 revolutions per minute and create the tension and power needed to straighten as the hair dries. The styling performance of the Dyson Airstrait™ also relies on the airflow path within the device and the arrangement of the different blades that project precise air jets, angled at 45 degrees to penetrate the hair cuticle effectively.

Designed to adapt to all hair types, the Dyson Airstrait™ allows you to dry, relax, and/or straighten wet and dry hair. Adjust the temperature and airflow speed settings according to your hair type and density, as well as the desired result - natural or relaxed straightening. Using air instead of extreme heat helps give body and volume to your hair while providing movement and flexibility.
No thermal damage.
When the hair is wet, the hydrogen bonds of the hair fiber are temporarily broken, making it much more malleable. Straightening from wet hair with the Dyson Airstrait™ thus requires less heat. The "Wet" mode has three lower temperature settings (80°, 110° & 140°). The Dyson Airtsrait™ also features ball thermistors distributed on each side of the device for intelligent temperature control.
