As a French makeup artist, Laura Mercier is famous for creating what she calls the "Bonne Mine" concept. The result goes beyond the usual bronzed effect: the skin appears naturally glowy, luminous, and infused with a warm radiance. Today, Laura makes this typically coveted French look easy to achieve with Bronze Color Infusion.
You can either apply Laura's one-step Bonne Mine technique, which blends the two shades, or the traditional Bonne Mine technique for a more targeted application, using each shade separately.
TECHNIQUES
ONE-STEP BONNE MINE (BLENDING APPLICATION):
Simply swirl the Angled Cheek Contour Brush over the two shades, desaturate the brush on the back of your hand, then apply to the high points and center of the face.
TRADITIONAL BONNE MINE TECHNIQUE (SEPARATE APPLICATION):
Sculpt
Using the Angled Cheek Contour Brush, apply the matte Sculpt shade to the cheeks, temples, and forehead.
Use the remaining color on the brush to sweep over the center of the face, including the nose.
Glow
Next, apply the Glow shade to the cheeks and center of the face, including the nose.
EXPERT TIPS:
• For optimal results, apply after setting the complexion with Translucent Loose Setting Powder or Translucent Loose Setting Powder Ultra-Blur.
• Apply Bronze Color Infusion sparingly in the eyelid crease to achieve the same bronzed glow on the eyes.
• To complete the Healthy Glow look, add Blush Color Infusion to the tops of the cheekbones for the ultimate glow effect.
