Changing the world, one perfecto at a time, that is the mission of Deadwood, a label based in Stockholm and founded in 2012. Behind this idea, two creative minds: Felix and Carl. Both salespeople in a store in the Swedish capital, they share a common interest in culture and ecology, and the desire to create a project together does not take long to materialize. A bar, a music group, or a store? It is the latter that ultimately comes to fruition when they find a space in the south of the city where they offer a selection of their favorite and vintage brands. After a few years, the duo sets to work on producing their own pieces signed Deadwood. For Felix, who studied sustainable development, and Carl, whose sensitivity to a more responsible consumption alternative is beyond doubt, their brand had to take ecological issues into account. The leather jackets, flagship models of the label, are therefore made from leather scraps, discarded hides from tanneries, and repurposed vintage clothing. Their lining is made from recycled plastic bottles. Antithesis of fast fashion, Deadwood aims to reinvent the way of approaching fashion by renewing its collections twice a year and imagining timeless silhouettes to wear year after year. This lifestyle brand that helps preserve the planet speaks to the souls of rebels. The proof is: Iggy Pop, a pioneer of the punk movement, approached the two partners to order a custom jacket. Advocating quality over quantity, Deadwood does not rest on its laurels. Indeed, the collections are complemented by shorts, skirts, pants, and leather bags, resistant to the test of time. Positive vibes, grunge attitude, and 'green' consciousness perfectly summarize the inspiring world of Deadwood.
