Launched in 1930 to meet a growing demand for men's fashion, the brand is slowly but surely laying the foundations for a tailoring revolution. Experiencing great success, it even lends its name in 1952 to the men's store of Printemps, which a few years later boasts a space of 6400m2, making it the largest store of its kind in Europe. At that time, it also stands out by being among the first to embrace the ready-to-wear model, still little known.
Facing increasingly fierce competition, it gradually fades away and in 1999, the department store on Boulevard Haussmann is renamed Printemps de L'homme.
