Exquisite materials, elegant design and bold colours... Giannico is a world-renowned luxury Italian shoe designer that's rewriting the rules of glamour. At only 19 years old, Nicolò Beretta set up the label in 2013, creating the name from a combination of his first name and his brother's, Giacomo. The brand quickly established itself in the fashion world; with the shoe master himself, Manolo Blahnik, wearing the shoes, the label immediately got off to a dazzling start. That same year, it was featured in Vogue Italia magazine and appeared on Vogue Talents, shining a spotlight on emerging designers. Two years later, it won the prestigious Who Is On Next? contest, propelling the brand to greater visibility. Pretty soon, the prodigy became a favourite of the rich and famous with the brand's iconic Daphne model, regularly seen on the red carpet. Produced in satin and velvet, the heeled mules with a mouth-shaped rhinestone buckle subtly references to Nicolò Beretta's love for pop culture. With a passion for surrealism and Pop Art, his designs are truly artistic creations inspired by the works of Jeff Koons, Dali, Picasso and Constantin Brancusi. Influencers, including Chiara Ferragni, quickly showed their appreciation for these stunningly chic shoes. A few years later, Ferragni collaborated with the brand on a capsule collection.
Made in Italy, in a factory owned by the Chanel group, Giannico women's shoes have seen their reputation rapidly spread. Spotted on the other side of the Atlantic by Brandon Maxwell and Lady Gaga, Nicolò Beretta is featured on the American stylist and singer's list of most promising designers, compiled for V Magazine.> View more
