PRADA LOVES PRINTEMPS

Style | September 30, 2020
From September 3rd to October 18th, 2020, Prada takes center stage at Printemps Haussmann in Paris. To showcase this new collaboration called "Prada Abstract", the Italian house is installing an 80 m2 pop-up boutique in the atrium of the department store and decorating five of its windows along Boulevard Haussmann. An exceptional event to discover exclusive pieces specifically designed for this project and also available on Printemps.com.

Prada's new interest in nature is celebrated with this "Prada Abstract" pop-up, through animations projected on huge LED screens that cover the entire atrium walls, as well as on the famous Prada niches and cubes serving as displays.

Highlighting the beauty of nature and the need to preserve it by offering an immersive experience, the images one after the other show fragments of ice breaking away from the Perito Moreno glacier in Argentine Patagonia, Niagara Falls, or even large waves undulating on the sea. An invitation to escape. This time around, once can notice a clear contrast between the current refined atmosphere and the previous pop-up boutique designed by Prada for Printemps Haussmann - and inspired by the floral theme of the Fall-Winter 2019/2020 collection.

Prada is a House specialized in leather goods and founded by Miuccia Prada's grandfather in 1913. The spring-summer 2021 collection, entitled "Prada Multiple Views", was unveiled in July during Men's Fashion Week through a digital presentation composed of five short films directed by Willy Vanderperre, Juergen Teller, Joanna Piotrowska, Martine Syms and Terence Nance.

Revealed during this presentation, the "Spazzolato" bag is available here in preview, in shades of black or white, but also in powder pink, pistachio green and mirror effect silver leather. Complementing this model with its sleek and unadorned lines, is another bag designed specifically for this pop-up: a new and exclusive iteration of the Prada "Re-Edition 2006", the Italian fashion house's flagship model of the 2000s. The crescent-shaped bag comes in nude quilted leather or black smooth leather. It also features a chain used as a shoulder strap and a strip stamped with "Prada for Printemps".
