Maison Sambin, a niche perfumery, draws its roots from a fascinating saga that dates back to the arrival of Eustache Sambin in Guadeloupe. Originally from present-day Burkina Faso in Africa, his migration marks the beginning of a rich cultural heritage, highlighting the importance of Caribbean and African origins, passed down from generation to generation. In 1980, the story of the Sambin family takes a significant turn when they decide to settle in Paris. It is there that Erold Sambin, born to a French father and a Guadeloupean mother, emerges as an emblematic figure of this unique lineage. A former rugby player and model for renowned brands, he develops a keen interest in the world of perfumery through his experiences. In 2018, he thus realizes his passion by founding Maison Sambin, a brand dedicated to the art of olfactory creation. The first collection of the brand, created in close collaboration with the master perfumers of Grasse, also reflects the founder's deep commitment to the history of the African diaspora. Indeed, it includes three unisex fragrances, each being a meticulous representation of an African deity from the Yoruba people, notably present in Nigeria and Benin. Crafted from carefully selected raw materials, the perfumes Osun, Oya, and Shango offer a distinctive olfactory experience, transporting those who wear them on a sensory journey rich in nuances. In short, Maison Sambin is much more than just a perfumery; it is a powerful symbol at the intersection of history, culture, and art.
