THE PRODUCT
Created by Hermès perfumer Christine Nagel, Un Jardin à Cythère is a striking garden, neither green nor floral, but blond. The expression of an olfactory quest through the Peloponnese that leads to Kythera, a preserved Greek island that has inspired many artists.
OLFACTORY NOTES
A citrus and woody fragrance, Un Jardin à Cythère combines the enveloping character of grass with the strength of olive wood and the tenderness of fresh pistachio.
THE OBJECT
Designed by Fred Rawyler, the bottle is inspired by the shape of the lanterns of old cars. The glass comes alive with a luminous yellow gradation, echoing the sunny fragrance. On the case, the artist Elias Kafouros has sketched a colourful landscape of his native land: the golden grass, the green of the olive trees, the pink of the fresh pistachios and, in the background, the blue of the sea.

LA CRÉATION
Créé par Christine Nagel, parfumeur d'Hermès, l'eau de toilette Un Jardin à Cythère est un jardin étonnant, ni vert ni fleuri, mais... blond. L'expression d'une quête olfactive à travers le Péloponnèse qui mène à Cythère, île grecque préservée ayant inspiré de nombreux artistes.
LES NOTES OLFACTIVES
Fragrance hespéridée et boisée, l'eau de toilette Un Jardin à Cythère allie le caractère enveloppant des graminées à la force du bois d'olivier et à la tendresse de la pistache fraîche.
L'OBJET
Dessiné par Fred Rawyler, le flacon s'inspire des lignes des lanternes des voitures d'antan. Le verre s'anime d'un dégradé jaune lumineux, en écho à la fragrance ensoleillée. Sur l'étui, l'artiste Elias Kafouros esquisse un paysage coloré de sa terre natale : l'herbe dorée, le vert des oliviers, le rose des pistaches fraîches et, en arrière-plan, le bleu de la mer.
