The motto of Baron Carlo Magnani, founder of Acqua di Parma might have been 'You are never better served than by yourself.' At the beginning of the 20th century, this distinguished Italian searched for a light, contemporary fragrance with a refreshing yet invigorating aroma. Confident of his concept, he entrusted it to a master perfumer who, under his precise guidance, produced Colonia. With notes of lemon, orange and bergamot as well as lavender, rosemary, verbena, vetiver and patchouli, this cologne was an instant hit. From the Italian peninsula to the Hollywood film studios, this success still resonates. Never changing its formula since originally being released in 1916, Colonia remains just as popular today. A member of the LVMH group since 2001, the Italian fragrance house has expanded its collections with new interpretations of its leading fragrance, along with some new editions. Created by Francis Kurkdjian and Françoise Caron in 2004, Iris Nobile was the house's first fragrance for women, followed by body, face and hair care products as well as a men's grooming range. Purveyor of a sophisticated lifestyle, the label has introduced an interior decor line featuring scented accessories.Created with the most refined essences, all Acqua di Parma products are as elegant in their composition, as in their presentation.
