A key meeting place for the most influential designers, Maria Luisa has been offering an innovative and relevant vision of fashion since its launch in 2009. You probably recognise the name as, leading this project was none other than celebrated buyer, Maria Luisa Poumaillou.
Intuitive and outgoing, Maria Luisa Poumaillou had a gift for spotting future talent such as John Galliano, Rick Owens, Helmut Lang, Martin Margiela and Riccardo Tisci, all of whom went on to become leading figures in the fashion and luxury goods industry. Named Fashion Editor and Consultant for Printemps Haussmann, this outstanding scout opened a space on the second floor in Printemps for Women, where a selection of innovative designers and classic brands go on display. A position she held until her passing in 2015.
Today, in tribute to this great lady, the Printemps creative team carries on her legacy, searching for and fostering young talent, season after season. Pieces, ranging from ready-to-wear to accessories, are carefully considered in order to mix, match or layer together, opening up a world of possibilities. Peter Do's minimalist cut suits, Area's glittering glamour, Khaite's delicate and sensual allure and Zimmermann's feminine dress designs are just a few examples of luxurious and edgy labels in the mix, to discover at Printemps Haussmann.
