The Bobbies adventure began in 2020 with an idea by Alexis Maugey and Antoine Bolze. After graduating business school, the two childhood friends felt unfulfilled in the banking industry, which strayed too far from their human values. Without procrastinating and despite their young age, they passionately founded their own footwear company which would be both Parisian and globally-inspired. Designed in Paris by passionate designers and handmade in Portugal by excellent shoemakers and leather artisans, Bobbies shoes for men and women are both timeless and timely, chic and bohemian, easy to wear but unique. And their success was brilliant, their team growing quickly though still at a familial scale, highlighting quality, the environment and respect for traditional know-how. Their leathers, skins and other materials come exclusively from Europe: Italy, Spain, Portugal or Germany. Their partner tanneries are Leather Working Group-certified and the soles are made of 70% recycled rubber and 30% natural rubber. With over one hundred manual steps necessary for their fabrication, Bobbies shoes are real artisanal treasures. Sometimes grained, smooth or even cracked, they take on soft, subtle, vibrant or deep hues while their silhouettes draw on the best of past of present to be both irresistibly retro and contemporary. Clogs, espadrilles, sneakers or ballet flats: It's an embarrassment of riches.
