Drawing on his irreverent punk style with surrealist influences, Alan Crocetti has become a leader in non-conformist contemporary jewellery. Growing up amid his parent's textile factory and fascinated by architecture, the anatomy and science fiction, the Brazilian designer, created his self-titled jewellery brand in 2014. Training at London's Central Saint Martins (which he leaves before graduating), the free spirit started leaning towards jewellery design in his last year of studies. His creations quickly garnered attention, due to features in magazines, even before the end of his school year. Right from his earliest collections, the Brazilian designer has been unveiling his unique vision that stands somewhere between minimalism and maximalism, reality and fantasy, creating rings shaped like knuckle dusters, ear cuffs, earrings and edgy signet rings. Alan Crocetti made his official debut during the Spring-Summer 2015 season after being spotted by Fashion East who showcased his designs as part of the official London Fashion Week.
The brand's insignia, the rose and the scorpion, heavily features in his creations; the first, for its symbolism as well as a little nod to Le Petit Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. The second, as a reminder of challenging times and now portraying a symbol of strength. Pairing gold and silver with precious and semi-precious stones, his creations are unisex, with a key focus on unveiling the personality of the people who wear them.
For his Spring-Summer 2020 collection, Alan Crocetti revisits certain pieces from his first three lines, which could not be marketed at the time of their creation. As integral parts of the label's history, these designs are now available to the public, presented in a shock campaign produced with the help of photographer, Ferry van der Nat and make-up artist, Isamaya Ffrench.
