Many designers fall into the fashion world by chance. This was also the case for the duo behind the Polish streetwear brand, MISBHV. Natalia Maczek and Thomas Wirski were not necessarily destined to become clothing designers; Natalia, a law student who grew up in Krakow, discovered fashion while working summer jobs in London. When back in Poland, she began creating t-shirts for her friends. Wanting to take this project further, she applied to the Royal College of Fashion in London and was accepted, never attending since her business already took off. Thomas, meanwhile, also grew up in Krakow and studied law, having worked as DJ and music producer since the age of 17. Together, they created MISBHV, one of the biggest names in streetwear today, alongside the likes of VETEMENTS or Gosha Rubchinskiy. After a debut show in Paris in 2015 (produced without any contacts; they simply rented a space), the duo has earned their stripes on the fashion scene, unveiling their collections during New York Fashion Week and Paris again more recently.
With roots in the ‘90s club and hip-hop scene, the aesthetic of MISBHV incorporates these codes while playing with recognisable signs of luxury. Its monogram logo paired with the most innovative materials and cuts, showcase both a sporty and sexy look. Although all its pieces are manufactured in Poland (a must, according to the designers who, now based in Warsaw, believe that they have one of the best production sites), the materials are sourced from a variety of places. Portugal, France, Italy... every country has its speciality. This approach has certainly paid off. With unique designs and quality collections at accessible prices, MISBHV has already established itself as a leading streetwear brand, garnering both celebrity and public support.> View more
