TBS is a sports brand, inspired by the great outdoors. Getting its name from tennis courts, "Terre Battue Synthétique" (synthetic clay), the brand was founded in 1978 by enthusiasts. In 1980's it introduced the Puls'Air, a tennis shoes with an integrated air bubble for better ventilation and less overheating, as well as a jogging shoe with an inflatable and adjustable sole. Its innovative streak was extended to nautical sports, when in 1989 the brand came out with the Globe boat model, the first shoe to sail around the world. As a partner of many maritime competitions and the official sponsor of skippers, famous sailors such as Ellen Mac Arthur, Vincent Riou and François Gabart winner of the Vendée Globe 2013, soon became its ambassadors. The brand continued to grow by offering a complete range of textile products with nautical influences, all designed in France and mainly produced in Jarzé in the Maine and Loire region or at the headquarters in the textile workshop of Saint-Pierre Montlimart. Thanks to its know-how, styling expertise and pattern making, each product conceived adheres to the brand's values. Authenticity, quality and transmission. TBS is also taking part in the "Change For Good" initiative for sustainable and durable fashion, by reinventing its production cycles and ecosystems, as well as offering eco-designed, bio-sourced and Made in France products. Always looking ahead toward the future, TBS continues to surprise with its urban style, modern and comfortable collections to sport from land to sea.
