Kaleidoscopic butterflies, geometric flowers, multicoloured rhinestones--the shoe designer, Sophia Webster is dazzling us with her original creations! A graduate from London's Cordwainers College and Royal College of Art in 2010, she trained with the luxury shoe designer, Nicholas Kirkwood, before launching her own brand in 2012. Sophia Webster's signature fantasy style won the support of the media, when she won the BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund award in 2016. Her accessories also caused a sensation with glamorous celebrities such as Blake Lively, Diane Kruger, Chloe Moretz and Olivia Palermo. Her shoe designs, produced in Brazil, were full of femininity and infused with playfulness. Sophia Webster's designs were inclusive, offering heels (among others) up to size 46. Her dance teacher, choreographer and fitness professional, Joelle D'Fontaine, gave her the idea of expanding her size range. A project that the young woman immediately took seriously by trying out her prototypes with model friends who wore size 44 as well as a variety of clientele in order to get the right fit. We applaud #SophiaWebsterSizingUp! The British designer was far from stopping there. She was involved in numerous collaborations, joining forces with Puma in 2017 for a capsule collection inspired by 1980s dancers. A total fan of the Spice Girls, she also designed shoes for the girl band as part of their world tour. A fairy tale that Sophia Webster owes to the passion she expresses through creating each of her collections. Her latest to date: Laurellie sandals in pink metallic leather, the Rosalind set with crystals, Butterfly ballerinas and Dina mules in crackle vinyl leather. With their bold detailing, these designs are the perfect complement to any evening wear.> View more
