Launched in February 2014, the brand Manu Atelier quickly established itself as a key player in accessories. Born in Turkey, from the imagination of sisters Beste and Merve Manastir, the label combines original designs and top-notch craftsmanship. And the public has not been mistaken. A favorite among influencers since its inception, the label has carved out a nice place for itself thanks to the Pristine, a handbag that is as compact as it is graphic, whose folded corners and boxy silhouette testify to a leatherworking know-how passed down from generation to generation. Because the story of Manu Atelier is above all a family affair. Daughters of Adnan Manastir, a leather craftsman since 1961, the two sisters grew up in his workshop, breathing in the smell of tanned hides and collecting scraps to create mini-bags. After finishing their studies and gaining some experience with accessory designers, Beste and Merve Manastir founded Manu Atelier. The goal? To showcase their father's talent as well as the Turkish leather industry. Derived from the Latin "Manu" which means "Hand" but also from the word "Manufacture", the name of the label reveals their intentions: to produce locally, from local materials, by local artisans. A success that continues to expand. Following the signature Pristine, came the Demi with its doctor bag silhouette, the Cylinder, a soft leather duffel bag, the London, featuring a round and rigid cut at the same time, and the Tetra, whose square lines add a masculine touch to all looks. And far from stopping there, Manu Atelier expanded its activity to shoes in the fall of 2019.
